Daniel Amparán

Daniel Amparán is the founder of Pyramid Strategy Group (part of FERNFUTURES) a seasoned executive with nearly 30 years of experience in ICT, management consulting, investment banking, business intelligence, and corporate development. He was the longest serving Managing Director of Pyramid Research, leading its international expansion, and played a key role in the development of Telmex International (now América Móvil). Daniel specialises in bridging the gap between ICT solutions and vertical sectors to help companies capitalise on growth opportunities. Daniel holds an MSc from LSE and a BSc from ITESM, with executive education from INSEAD and other leading institutions. He is fluent in Spanish, English, German, and Italian.

Jorge Fernando Negrete P

Jorge Fernando Negrete is a leading digital policy and telecommunications lawyer in Latin America. He is President of Digital Policy & Law Group and a key voice in digital regulation, with expertise in telecom law, digital rights, privacy, and competition. He has advised institutions, curated major forums like Mexico 5G and the Ibero-American Congress on Digital Law, and served on Mexico’s IFT Advisory Council. A published columnist in Reforma and La República, he is also a university professor and international speaker.

Joel Cooper

Joel Cooper is a seasoned telecom and technology strategy executive with 25 years of experience in ICT consultancy, business intelligence, and strategic planning. He was Senior Director of Strategy & Market Intelligence at GlobalData Technology, where he led a team of 29 analysts across five regions, overseeing market forecasts, competitive analysis, and consulting projects. Previously, Joel spent seven years at Orange, where he developed and implemented the company’s global fixed-mobile convergence strategy through M&A, partnerships, and organic growth initiatives. Joel holds a BA Hons from the University of Warwick and an MBA with distinction from Warwick Business School.

Leslie Arathoon

Leslie Arathoon is a telecom, media, and technology (TMT) strategy expert with over 25 years of experience in digital transformation, market intelligence, and growth strategy. She was Director of Research at Pyramid Research for over seven years, where she led a global team of analysts and developed the firm’s flagship forecasting models, which became an industry benchmark for strategic planning. Leslie has advised leading companies on market entry, opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, and digital infrastructure strategy, with a particular focus on growth markets in Latin America. She holds a BA in Latin American Studies from Dartmouth University and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Jorge Bravo

Jorge Bravo holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from UNAM and is Executive Editorial VP at DPL Group. He is President of AMEDI and a columnist for El Economista and Proceso. A leading voice in digital policy, he specializes in telecom, media, and political communication. He is a professor at UNAM and other national and international institutions, and author of El presidente mediático. He served as General Coordinator of Social Communication at IFT and has advised UNESCO on media development in Mexico.

Brigitte Fiedler de Amparán

Brigitte Fiedler de Amparán is co-founder of FERNFUTURES, specializing in analytical design, financial modelling, and strategic decision-making. She was Head of Models & Methodology at Dresdner Bank (now Commerzbank), leading global development of risk-pricing models. Brigitte played a key role in creating the bank’s first in-house counterparty risk management system. She has collaborated with the University of Vienna and LSE, supervising students projects in finance. She holds a a “Diplom in Mathematik” (equivalent to a Bachelor and Master of Science in Mathematics) from the University of Bonn and has completed executive education at INSEAD. She is fluent in German, English, and Spanish.

Leadership Team

José Miguel Fletcher is an accomplished finance and strategy executive with 30+ years of experience in business strategy, financial analysis, and project management. He has held senior roles at América Móvil, Telmex, AT&T Mexico, Huawei, and Inbursa, including CFO and interim CEO positions in several organisations. Currently, he is Chairman of MXT Holdings and Operating Partner at ARDIAN, a global private equity firm. He also lectures on Corporate Finance at ITESM’s EGADE Business School. José Miguel holds dual MBAs from the University of Texas at Austin and ITESM and a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana. He is fluent in Spanish and English
